For Equipment Trader listings

What photo size does Equipment Trader require?

Equipment Trader is Trader Interactive's marketplace for ag, construction and other heavy equipment, sharing the same plan-tiered photo structure as sister sites RV Trader and Cycle Trader. Its help center documents the tightest file-size ceiling of the three (in the table below), in JPEG, JPG or GIF format, though the current page may state it differently. Its blog is the most direct of any marketplace we cover about editing: clean up the photo, but don't let filters or alterations misrepresent the machine, and do include wear or damage shots so buyers feel reassured rather than surprised.

How VehiclePhoto helps here

Equipment Trader's own guide draws the line at heavy filters or alterations that could mislead a buyer, while recommending honest wear-and-damage shots. VehiclePhoto's cleanup on used equipment touches the yard and the lighting, never the machine, matching that line exactly.

FAQ

Equipment Trader, answered.

What size photos does Equipment Trader want?

Its help center documents JPEG, JPG or GIF files no more than 100 KB, the smallest file-size ceiling of the three Trader Interactive sites. The current page may state it differently, so check it before you rely on that figure.

Does Equipment Trader allow edited photos?

Its own blog draws a clear line: cleaning up a photo is fine, but heavy filters or alterations that could mislead a buyer about the machine are not. That lines up with our own rule — we clean up the background and lighting on used equipment, never the machine itself.

Should I include photos of wear or damage?

Yes — Equipment Trader's own guide recommends it, for buyer reassurance. Hiding wear isn't the goal; showing the machine honestly is.

How many photos come with an Equipment Trader plan?

On Equipment Trader’s plan page, Basic includes 4 (2 weeks), Enhanced 20 plus video, and Best 50 plus video over 6 months.
